DREAM DESTINATION-BUNDI, RAJASTHAN

, , No Comments
Bundi, Rajasthan is a small town with rusting setting that stands on the foothills of the Aravali Mountains. Rich in history replete with palaces, forts, havelis and many such historical sites , Bundi occupies an integral place in cultural and historical map of Rajasthan. It is very famous for its baolis meaning waterworks or steep wells, temples and chhatris with carved pillars.
A picturesque lake where the entire city and the palaces get reflected in the lake adds a stunning quality to the place. The state on the whole sees less rainfall and the weather around september is cooler making it an ideal destination to explore some deep rooted history while enjoying the cool climate of Rajasthan. Though an increasingly popular traveller hang-out, Bundi attracts nothing like the tourist crowds of places such as Udaipur, nor are its streets choked with noisy, polluting vehicles. Few places in Rajasthan retain so much of the magical atmosphere of centuries past.
